Soumyajit is Nomura’s product lead for data management and information insights at its Group Data Office in Asia ex-Japan. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for leading initiatives to simplify the firm’s data fabric, and generate value through data and analytics products and solutions. Soumyajit has over 18 years of experience in digital transformation, CRM strategy, enterprise data strategy, cloud deployments and product development and delivery across customer, market and portfolio intelligence. He has built relationships and delivered results across markets globally including the US, China, Japan, Australia, and Malaysia. Prior to Nomura, he was global head of data management at JLL, where he was responsible for its cloud platform strategy and implementation. Before that, he worked at HSBC, where he led the creation of an analytics layer for the Asia Pacific region, implemented data driven rules for financial crime control, delivered data driven portfolio and incentive management for relationship managers, managed MI and BI delivery across the retail bank and supported the creation of online banking analytics capabilities. Soumyajit has also worked at Visa as an ETL developer and for GE Consumer Finance as a data warehousing and BI specialist.
