Akash is a passionate data engineering leader with an objective of solving complex business problems with a simplified approach to Cloud, Data and Engineering. In his experience as a data engineering leader, he believes in implementing robust data capabilities along with automating manual processes with a focus on Infrastructure as a service(IAAS), Infrastructure as a code(IAAC), Platform as a service(PAAS) or Data as a service(DAAS). He is currently heading the Data Engineering team at Gojek Payments and Financial services with a mission of creating a data platform for transforming data ingestion, processing, metadata management, data modelling and data governance. The engineering strategy revolves around modernisation, automation and agility. In the past, he has worked on different data platforms powering healthcare, insurance, e-commerce and payments use cases. With overall 13+ years of experience in Payments, Financial Services, Data Engineering and Information Management. He aspires to learn new domains and lead teams with creative inspirations everyday.
