Digital transformation of a travel web agency using deep learning in their recommendation engine
During this presentation, we will see how to use iterative data science to build a traditional recommendation system but also how to use deep learning to leverage it and increase its impact on the business?
Suppose you are looking to go skiing this winter. You login to your favourite online travelling agency and scroll down through the hundreds of offers. What could make up your mind? A lot of things: the country, the price, the date, but also: the THUMBNAILS! It turns out that the images on each offer play an important role in the selection process of people. In this talk, we are going to go beyond the standard recommendation systems (collaborative filtering methods, content based methods, etc) and leverage the thumbnails with Deep Learning methods in order to improve the recommendations and the ROI, through a real life project.
