Artificial Intelligence (AI) dates back to the 1950s while the notion of metaverse first emerged in the early 1990s. Both are lofty pursuits in their own rights. For AI, achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is often envisioned as the pinnacle of AI achievement. In metaverse, the vision continues to evolve rapidly. In this session, we discuss some perspectives: What took AI 70 years? Moving ahead, what could progress AI towards AGI? How AI matters to Metaverse?
